For several years, I had the privilege of being a chapter
bulletin editor. I usually took the liberty of adding an editorial
column, for which I took full and sole responsibility. I took great
pains to assure the membership that opinions expressed in these little
essays were my own, and were in no way (other than pure coincidence)
reflective of the opinions of the chapter or the Barbershop Harmony
Society.
Sometimes I liked an editorial enough to save it, like the ones listed below.
But some other editorials I desperately hoped I'd never see again. Some drew
praise; some got me in serious hot water.
What the hell. Here are a few of them. See for yourself if they're still relevant.
Remember, though: they're still my opinions alone, not connected in any way with
any chapter of any society.
