Who were the members of Hourglass?
|
Reid Joyce - Bass

Like Tom and Joe, Reid first joined the barbershopping
world in high school. Recently retired from a career as
a research
psychologist in Butler, PA, he now designs and builds Web sites
and consults for a manufacturer of flight
simulators. For relief
from the danger
and
excitement
of barbershopping, he flies aerobatic airplanes and hot-air balloons,
and searches the jungles and waters of the Republic
of Palau (in
the western Pacific) for crash sites of American aviators who were
shot down there during WWII and who are still listed as MIA. Reid
and Joe presently sing in a mixed
jazz quintet. Reid's
e-mail address is reid@rpjconsulting.com.

Joe LoBue - Baritone

Joe (his nickname is "I AM standing up") makes
up for his diminutive size by being the best baritone in the area
(the southwestern third of the western half of Butler county).
Joe is Personnel Manager for U.S. Investigation Service, which
used to be OPM's Federal Investigations Processing Center. He earned
the gold medal you may have seen him wearing as a member of the
1987 International Champion Westowns barbershop chorus from Lombard,
Ill. In his spare time he's a chauffeur for two teen-aged sons.
Joe and Reid presently sing in a mixed
jazz quintet. His email address is jlobue@zoominternet.net. |

Tom Harwell - Tenor

Tom, like many others who have become barbershoppers, was in
the quartet in a high-school production of "Music Man." His fantastic
tenor voice, distinctive laugh, and weird sense
of humor
made
him a delightful
addition to the quartet. Tom now lives and works near Orlando, Florida.
He's a biker/computer nut in his spare time. His email address is t_harwel@bellsouth.net. |
|
Ron Brooks - Lead

Ron's been a barbershopper since the tender age of 11. He's
sung with several quartets over that time, including Harmony Partners,
The Cavaliers, Major League, and Wired for Sound. Nearly everything Ron
does is connected in some way with barbershopping. His email address is ron@brooksentertainment.com. |
